Culture and Belonging - October

Our SEL curriculum, Second Step, begins with a unit focused on bullying prevention, peer conflict resolution, and kindness. Each year, we highlight these core values during our kickoff assembly on October 23. Students learn practical strategies to speak up and report concerns to trusted adults. At the elementary level, we emphasize being an “Upstander” and actively reaching out to supportive adults when issues arise.
