The Polar Express Autumn is officially here, and our school community is buzzing with energy! This past week, we launched our Spirit Squad during Grade 2 and 3 recess. With over 40 enthusiastic members ready to show their Polar Bear pride, the squad has been busy practicing the LSS cheer and routines in preparation for our upcoming Kindness Assembly on October 23.
Our Kindness Assembly is a special tradition where we come together as a school to celebrate the values of belonging, inclusivity, and kindness. In addition to the Spirit Squad, our Kindness Crew held their first meeting to help plan the event. Grade 5 students will be taking the lead during the assembly, sharing inspiring poems, meaningful facts, and words of wisdom with our community.
Looking ahead to next week, fourth and fifth graders in our CAVE - Culture Club will gather for their inaugural meeting! We are so excited for this additional opportunity for students to share, celebrate, and explore their rich heritages, unique cultures, and personal beliefs.

Nurse's Notes and Wellness Information
This coming week is vision and hearing screening in the health office. Please have children bring their glasses if they wear them. Parents will be contacted with a note sent home with your student in the next few weeks if your child did not pass a screening. I will also email you. If you have any questions please contact me at mfiore@nsboro.k12.ma.us.
Meghan Fiore, RN, MSN, CPNP-PC
Lincoln Street School Nurse
How do we help children build healthy technology habits in a world where screens are everywhere?
The answer isn’t simply counting minutes. Healthy digital habits develop when adults model, guide, set boundaries, and gradually help children learn to manage technology for themselves. Whether your child is in kindergarten or high school, small routines at home can make a difference.
Visit our Digital Wellness page this month for practical, research-based strategies for setting routines, using parental controls, and supporting healthy technology habits at every age.
