Informational Update - Safety Drill #1 Completed

Dear LSS Families,

This morning, we successfully completed our first safety drill of the year using a tabletop discussion format. Our teachers walked students through the importance of listening closely to adults and responding quickly in an emergency. We know safety topics can sometimes feel a bit scary or unsettling, but practicing helps everyone feel calm and prepared. The students did a wonderful job—they were thoughtful, curious, and took the discussion seriously! I visited several classrooms afterward to remind our students that our school is a safe place with caring adults and clear protocols to protect them.
