Over the next couple of weeks, we will be taking some time to revisit important safety procedures and protocols with our students and staff. During Morning Meeting, classroom teachers will share a short slide deck focused on three important areas of safety at Lincoln Street School: physical safety, social-emotional safety, and technological safety. These reminders are an opportunity to make sure our students understand what to do, who they can turn to for help, and how we can all contribute to a safe, caring, and supportive school community.
As part of this work, we will also engage students in a tabletop drill, which provides an opportunity to talk through school safety protocols, consider different scenarios, and ask questions in a calm, age-appropriate setting. Our goal is not to create worry or fear, but rather to help students feel informed, prepared, and confident about what to do if they ever encounter an unexpected situation
We recognize that conversations about school safety can sometimes feel stressful for children—and for adults, too. We will approach these discussions thoughtfully, using developmentally appropriate language and giving students opportunities to ask questions and share their thoughts. We appreciate your partnership as we continue to make safety, belonging, and well-being a priority for every member of our Lincoln Street learning community.

Nurse's Notes and Wellness Information
This coming week is vision and hearing screening in the health office. Please have children bring their glasses if they wear them. Parents will be contacted with a note sent home with your student in the next few weeks if your child did not pass a screening. I will also email you.
