THE POLAR EXPRESS
Welcome, Lincoln Street Students and Families! We are so excited to begin a new school year together and look forward to all the learning, growth, friendships, and joyful moments ahead. As we welcome our students back to Lincoln Street School, one of our themes for this year is: “Be an anchor and a sail for our students.” We hope to be anchors by providing our students with a strong sense of belonging, safety, consistency, and support, while also being sails that encourage them to take risks, discover their strengths, and reach toward new possibilities. We are grateful for the partnership of our families and are excited to work together to make 2026–2027 a wonderful year for every Polar Bear!
Kindergarten Brown Bag Lunch
Back-to-School Basics:
- Pack a nut-free snack (until your child gets more information from the classroom teacher).
- Communicate with your child/children their AM and PM bus numbers
- Establish a morning and nighttime routine
- Go over the lunch options ahead of time
- Our playground/parking lot is closed throughout the school day, 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM

September 4: Polar Bear Pride Day - wear your LSS gear for the Kindergarten Clap-in
September 7: No School. Labor Day
September 10: Open House, 6 - 7:30
*Half-day for students, 12:05
September 23: Picture Day
September 26: Applefest Parade, 12:00 PM

 School Hours: 8:55-3:25
Drop-off: 8:35 (students go immediately to the playground unless it is raining)

Updates and Reminders:
- PLEASE send a note to your child's classroom teacher regarding dismissal plan for the week/year. If you are going to change your dismissal plans, PLEASE call the office by 2:30 PM. If you are a returning student/family, PLEASE still send in your dismissal for this school year!
- Bus routes are being finalized. They will be shared by the District.
- Lastly, help your child/children transition back to school by leaving all toys and trinkets at home. Please no squishy fidgets that explode during assemblies.
