Principal's Spotlight
On Friday, I was invited into a Grade 4 classroom to celebrate an incredible accomplishment by one of our own students, David Skoglund. David wrote and illustrated an absolutely amazing book, and his classmates gathered around him with such pride and excitement. Over the past six months, David dedicated his free time to creating this non-fiction piece, which is based on several historical events in the United States.

The Polar Express - Principal's Message

At Lincoln Street, may we always be a place filled with hope, where every child feels valued, supported, and encouraged to believe in themselves. May it be a place of peace, where kindness, empathy, and respect guide our words and actions, and where differences are celebrated. And may it be a place of joy, where learning is engaging, laughter is abundant, and the excitement of discovery is shared each day.

As we enter this season of giving and celebration, we are reminded of the many ways our community shines. Across cultures and traditions, lights are embraced as symbols of hope, warmth, celebration, and joy. May we continue to be a light for one another—through generosity, compassion, and connection—creating a caring school community where students, staff, and families feel a strong sense of belonging and togetherness.

Updates and reminders:
  • The Lost and Found is getting full!
  • If the temperature is below 20 degrees (including the Real Feel) we stay in for recess!
  • This is monitored throughout the morning to make a thoughtful and accurate decision.
  • Thank you for all of the Textile Drive donations!
