The Polar Express

On Friday, we had our first school-wide assembly called Kindness in the Cave. We had members of the Kindness Crew recite poetry, share information and perform a short skit. The gym was alive and electric with positive energy and LSS spirit.

On Thursday evening, I will host a Confections and Conversations in the library at 6:00 - 7:00PM. This is an opportunity to learn about the curriculum, LSS traditions, school-wide protocols and building a positive school culture. Here is the google form link to RSVP:

Columbus Day is a national holiday in many countries of the Americas and elsewhere, and a federal holiday in the United States, which officially celebrates the anniversary of Christopher Columbus's arrival to a place inhabited by indigenous people.
October 20: Diwali
Diwali
Diwali, also called Deepavali or Deepawali, is the Hindu festival of lights, with variations celebrated in other Indian religions such as Jainism and Sikhism. It symbolizes the spiritual victory of Dharma over Adharma, light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance.
